2025 HOW Retreat Reflections: Inspiration for All of Us

Whether you joined us in person or followed along from afar, the spirit of this year’s HOW Retreat is one we hope will ripple far beyond the weekend. Held in the scenic Delaware River Valley, the retreat brought together women from across Quorum to reflect, reconnect, and reignite their leadership journeys.

For those who were there, we hope you’re still feeling the spark. And for those who weren’t, we want to share some of the weekend’s inspiration and offer ways for you to carry that energy into your own life and leadership.

As one attendee said, “You’ve created a great opportunity for women to learn, laugh, and connect.” Another shared, “I’m still basking in the bliss of a wonderful weekend.”

Understanding Donor Advised Funds: A Smart Way to Give Back

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a powerful tool for philanthropic giving. Think of it as a charitable investment account that allows you to:

  • Make tax-deductible charitable contributions
  • Recommend grants to nonprofits and social enterprises over time
  • Invest your assets so they can grow tax-free, increasing the impact of your giving

In short, DAFs make it easier to give strategically, allowing you to support the causes you care about—now and in the future—while integrating giving into your broader financial planning.

During our recent Quorum Invests session, we explored how DAFs work, who benefits from them, and how they can be part of a values-aligned investment strategy.

Want to be part of this journey of financial empowerment?
There’s still time to join Quorum Invests, our gender-smart investment club exclusively for Quorum Initiative members. For $300, a twelve-month membership gives you access to expert-led sessions and a supportive community where you can take your first—or next—steps in investing with a gender lens.
