The Quorum Initiative

In 2015, over 120 accomplished female executives across all industry sectors joined us for our annual forum, HOW The Alchemy of Innovation. This unique forum explored how to creatively collaborate on HOW to be innovative leaders in the digital era. The HOW forum shares insights from market leaders, discusses professional skills, and how to take action and create change through interactive sessions focused on bringing innovation to all that we do.

    • The recipient of many awards over the course of her career, Mary has most recently been honored as Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for San Diego and has received the EY Venture Capital Award of Excellence.

Michelle Dipp

Michelle Dipp, M.D., P.H.D., Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, OvaScience

Dr. Dipp is the founding Chief Executive Officer of OvaScience and serves on the Board of Directors. Dr. Dipp is also a Founder and Partner of Longwood Fund, a healthcare investment fund. Previously, she was the Senior Vice President and Head of the CEEDD at GlaxoSmithKline. Prior, she was Vice President of Corporate Development at Sirtris prior to its acquisition by GSK. Before joining Sirtris, Dr. Dipp worked in healthcare private equity at The Wellcome Trust, London. Dr. Dipp serves on the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s (BIO) Emerging Companies Governing Board, the New England Venture Capital Association (NEVCA) Board, the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Board of Directors, the Boston Symphony Orchestra Board of Overseers, and the MassBio Advisory Board. Dr. Dipp holds an M.D. and a Ph.D. from the University of Oxford.

Anne Mosle is a leading thinker, advocate, and voice in building pathways to opportunity for low-income families. With more than 20 years’ experience in policy and philanthropy, Mosle has been recognized as Washingtonian of the Year, Ms. Magazine Woman to Watch, and Visionary Philanthropist. Currently, she directs Ascend, the national hub for breakthrough ideas and collaborations that move children and their parents towards educational success and economic security. Ascend is investing $1.5 million in promising two-generation programs and policy solutions, has launched a national network and fellowship, and is leveraging resources for better outcomes for families.

Mary Fisher brings more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Ms. Fisher currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board Director at Colorescience, a former division of SkinMedica, where she served as Chief Executive Officer from 2008 until 2012 when she led the successful sale of the company to Allergan, Inc. for $375 million… continue reading

Prior to joining SkinMedica, Ms. Fisher was the Chief Operating Officer of Acorda Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on developing products for the treatment of central nervous system disorders. There, she helped execute the company’s restructuring, initial public offering and a $50 million acquisition that transitioned Acorda from a developmental platform to a commercial stage operation. Ms. Fisher has served as a Pharmaceutical Consultant for companies such as Acorda Therapeutics and Roche Diagnostics and specialized in commercialization strategy, resource and outsource planning, pricing strategy and tactics, distribution planning, managed care contracting and forecasting. Previously, she held the role of Vice President, Strategic Healthcare and Commercial Operations at Cephalon, Inc., and Manager, Communications at Immunex.

Ms. Fisher currently serves on the Board of Directors at Zeltiq, Ovascience and the Neuroscience Nursing Foundation. She is a member of the Women’s Dermatological Society and the Dermatology Foundation Leader’s Society. Additionally, Ms. Fisher co-founded the Ann Olsen Endowment, a cancer patient advocacy group, in 1987. In June 2013, Ms. Fisher was honored as one of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for San Diego. For over 25 years, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award has been considered the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs, recognizing and celebrating the success of outstanding individuals who build, lead and grow dynamic and successful companies.
