AI Is Changing How We Lead. Women Need to Help Shape What Comes Next.
AI is transforming how we work, lead, make decisions, and navigate our everyday lives. For women leaders, the opportunity isn’t simply to keep up. It’s to help shape what comes next.
That message came through loud and clear at Quorum’s recent DC Chapter event, Future-Proofing Your Career: Evolving into a Tech-Savvy Leader for Tomorrow’s Challenges.
Panelists Julia Tama, Co-Chair, Privacy & Data Security at Venable LLP; Jen Mailander, Vice President/Deputy General Counsel at Fannie Mae; and Veronica Torres, Senior Director, Deputy General Counsel, Privacy and Cybersecurity at Fannie Mae, led a thought-provoking conversation about embracing AI and emerging technologies to strengthen our careers, leadership, and even our everyday lives.
A few takeaways for all of us:
- Be an active learner. Understand how AI is changing the way we work.
- Experiment. Ask questions, try new tools, and build your confidence using AI.
- Think beyond work. Look for ways AI can make your personal life easier, more efficient, and even more interesting.
The Conversation Continues at HOW
At Quorum’s 2026 HOW Women Lead Change Forum in New York City, Maddie Stenger, Senior Director at FTI Consulting, will lead a timely and thought-provoking session, “Leading with AI: Ensuring Women’s Voices Shape the Future.”
The session will challenge us to move beyond simply using AI to thinking intentionally about how we use it, where it can improve outcomes, and why women must be active participants in shaping its future.
Join us November 6 in New York City for HOW Women Lead Change and be part of the conversation.
A special thank you to our panelists, Quorum member Melanie Peterson for coordinating the evening in DC, and Venable LLP for generously sponsoring and hosting the event.
